Faculty, staff, students, alumni and community partners were delighted to learn that, on July 1, 2010, Dr. Jackie Sieppert will begin a five year term as dean of the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Social Work. Both well-respected and well-liked on campus and in the community, Sieppert has been a professor of social work at the U of C for 17 years, and has served the  aculty in diverse leadership roles, including as associate dean (academic) for the last year.

Due to heavy workloads and loss of Student Service Staff at our Central and Northern Region located in Edmonton (CNAR), the Student Services staff in the Calgary Office will only be available to see students face-to-face in the afternoons from 1:15-4:30 pm Monday through Friday in order to process Fall 2010 Admissions for both the Calgary and CNAR locations. 

Graduate Students may begin registering for their Fall 2010 and Winter 2011 courses effective May 31, 2010.
Undergraduate Students may begin registering for their Fall 2010 and Winter 2011 courses effective June 14, 2010.

Social work visionary Gayla Rogers and trend guru Jeremy Gutsche received prestigious honours from the U of C Alumni Association at the 2010 Arch Awards.

Celebrate the recipient of the first Dr. Gayla Rogers Legacy Medal in Graduate Social Work; the Gayle Gilchrist James and Richard F. Ramsay Gold Medal in Undergraduate Social Work, and the outstanding achievements of many other students with the Recognition of Excellence awards.
